i would like to go to sleep right now.


my weekend was fun but i could use a day where i actually sleep late. saturday was sort of that day cause i basically lazed around and did nothing most of the day, but my body still feels like it needs more.

i'll go to sleep early tonight



this post is pointless, i really have nothing to say.

soooooooo very much has happened in the life of LEE since I last updated.

I graduated college, which was super exciting and I am reminded of how awesome it truly is when i scroll down and read all my old entries which mainly consist of be whining about school and writing essays.


That is no longer a problem!

To make things even MORE awesome: one week before i graduated I GOT A JOB!

Working in Manhattan for the 4th largest advertising agency in the world.

And guess what?

I STILL HAVE IT!


I'm pretty much the main player in the media asset management team.


It's not the most exciting job of all time, but i can't even explain how elated i am to have a full time job that pays fairly well in this ever shitty economy.

I'm one of the lucky ones for sure.

Nowadays i don't have to worry about writing papers or taking tests or befriending teachers, i can work and then i can go home and do whatever i want. I don't work on the weekends, so i'm free to make plans.


It's a really nice feeling.



And to make the nice feeling even nicer: I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!

next week Jessica and I are going to spend a week with Mickey Mouse himself!


It figures that the first thing i would do when i get a job is buy tickets to Disney World....lol.


Also, plastiq passion has been in the studio all summer. Our new CD is almost finished and i just cannot wait for it to be finished so i can listen to it lol.


and we can start playing lots of shows again.

you know what really grinds my gears?

that everyone on American Idol has to finish whatever song they're singing with some ridiculous long note ending.

no matter what it is.

like, for example, some chick just sang alicia keys- no one and felt the need to end the song by singing NO OOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEE! and holding it out while the camera swoops around her.

it's not just her.

they all do that.




and it bugs me.

not every song should end like that.

in fact, i'll even take it so far as to say that NO song should end like that.



you know what else bugs me?

school work.


no matter how easy and dumb it is, i still have such a hard time just sitting down to do it.

for example: keeping a weekly journal of my french directors class?

im at school just waiting for 2:30 to roll around so i can go sit in a reeeeally boring class for waaaaay too long.

4 hours of millner rambling incessently about the politics within a certain foreign film....i don't really need to explain to you how boring it truly is.

the movies have been fairly interesting tho, i must say.

so im sitting in the library on the computer, listening to my ipod.

tegan and sara just came on.


sometimes i forget how much i enjoy them.

then we watched the L word...this season isnt too good so far but last nights episode was the best so far. it was funny.

oooh and guess what?? we're going to atlantic city for valentines day weekend! and we got this sweet room with a jacuzzie and stuff....should be fun.

might try to go see Dark Knight in IMAX on saturday for daddios birthday.

last night was the DAPSY Awards at Cargo...what a night! lol

pretty hilarious. my band was very drunk. and by 'my band' i mean john and lindsay specifically. i was a little drunk, but not nearly at their level.

at least john could function, lindsay was falling all over the place while playing her violin.

i played HORRIBLY.

i messed up like a gazillion times.

i think alcohol, mixed with the fact that it was 3am and that i was so not in the mindset of playing a show...i think all of those factors mixed together to make me suck balls on the drums.

BUT our entire audience was piss drunk so it's okay, i don't think they'll remember it today.

lindsay and mikey were both out of their minds lol.


but ANYWAYS it was a really fun night.
didnt get home til 5am.


JeS has been at her sisters house all weekend playing with her sick little nephew and i missssssssssss her.

i had plastiq passion practice on sunday, NMJ practice on monday and tuesday, festivites on wednesday and thursday, was SUPPOSED to have NMJ practice today, and plastiq passion practice tomorrow.

CRAZY INSANE!


i need to buy new drumsticks.

im not a slacker in my bands...at least i don't think i am.

tho i suppose i rely on my bandmates anti-slackerness too.

It's amazing how quickly things can turn around sometimes.

almost immediately after my last post i managed to snag myself an internship with the co-creator of The Daily Show.

There are so many things i should be doing right now.

Instead here i am, sitting at my computer, eating almonds out of a giant tub of mixed nuts that my aunt bought from costco and then gave to my dad.

strange.

There aren't any peanuts in it, but they don't specify that on the tub. However, there are far too many cashews and, in my opinion, not enough almonds.

i could talk about this all day, but i'll stop myself here.


i have two papers i need to write, one being a final and one being already two weeks late. the final paper takes priority.

annnd i have a movie to make. my teacher already hates me cause i changed my movie idea halfway through the semester. i was friends with her before i had her as a teacher. i never claimed to be a good student. but she (the teacher) is good friends with my best friend and so now i keep hearing the shit she says about me. She doesn't like my new idea, she thinks i should go back to the old idea.

i don't have time for the old idea, and i know for a fact she wouldn't be willing to give me the time, so i don't want to hear it.

arghhhhh

i just want this semester to be over. in fact, i want school in general to be over. i need at least a year off.

im just being whiny. this is my last year anyway.

after a while, though, writing papers just gets really old.



OKAY. enough whining....about school at least.

christmas is fast approaching and not only do i have no money, but i have no ideas.

it was really fun and awesome and i can't wait to do it again.
