you know what really grinds my gears?

that everyone on American Idol has to finish whatever song they're singing with some ridiculous long note ending.

no matter what it is.

like, for example, some chick just sang alicia keys- no one and felt the need to end the song by singing NO OOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEE! and holding it out while the camera swoops around her.

it's not just her.

they all do that.




and it bugs me.

not every song should end like that.

in fact, i'll even take it so far as to say that NO song should end like that.



you know what else bugs me?

school work.


no matter how easy and dumb it is, i still have such a hard time just sitting down to do it.

for example: keeping a weekly journal of my french directors class?

last night was the DAPSY Awards at Cargo...what a night! lol

pretty hilarious. my band was very drunk. and by 'my band' i mean john and lindsay specifically. i was a little drunk, but not nearly at their level.

at least john could function, lindsay was falling all over the place while playing her violin.

i played HORRIBLY.

i messed up like a gazillion times.

i think alcohol, mixed with the fact that it was 3am and that i was so not in the mindset of playing a show...i think all of those factors mixed together to make me suck balls on the drums.

BUT our entire audience was piss drunk so it's okay, i don't think they'll remember it today.

lindsay and mikey were both out of their minds lol.


but ANYWAYS it was a really fun night.
didnt get home til 5am.


JeS has been at her sisters house all weekend playing with her sick little nephew and i missssssssssss her.

It's amazing how quickly things can turn around sometimes.

almost immediately after my last post i managed to snag myself an internship with the co-creator of The Daily Show.

There are so many things i should be doing right now.

Instead here i am, sitting at my computer, eating almonds out of a giant tub of mixed nuts that my aunt bought from costco and then gave to my dad.

strange.

There aren't any peanuts in it, but they don't specify that on the tub. However, there are far too many cashews and, in my opinion, not enough almonds.

i could talk about this all day, but i'll stop myself here.


i have two papers i need to write, one being a final and one being already two weeks late. the final paper takes priority.

annnd i have a movie to make. my teacher already hates me cause i changed my movie idea halfway through the semester. i was friends with her before i had her as a teacher. i never claimed to be a good student. but she (the teacher) is good friends with my best friend and so now i keep hearing the shit she says about me. She doesn't like my new idea, she thinks i should go back to the old idea.

i don't have time for the old idea, and i know for a fact she wouldn't be willing to give me the time, so i don't want to hear it.

arghhhhh

i just want this semester to be over. in fact, i want school in general to be over. i need at least a year off.

im just being whiny. this is my last year anyway.

after a while, though, writing papers just gets really old.

So, Monster Mania Con 9 was this weekend! Me and Johnny went with Jackie and Sean. Met up with a few people at the con like Tonipants and Brendan and Jared, and Marissa and Vinny. It was really good times, i had a lot of fun. Met a lot of new horror movie personalities which is always awesome, and Warwick Davis is freaking awesome!...just had to get that off my chest...well, onto the pictures!




This would be me and Tommy Pickles herself...that's right folks- the voice of the little innocent infant cartoon character is a super SLUT! lol. She was wearing practically nothing and her boob kept falling out all day long. And also she straddled everyone she took a picture with, she's stradling me here but you can't see her legs lol. Trust me. She was really nice though, she signed my Devil's Rejects poster and that's all i can ask of her. Sean is in love with her too so, needless to say, he was extremely excited about the whole thing. Her name is E.G. Daily by the way. The E stands for Elizabeth and we've decided that the G must stand for Gangbang.


MACHETE! Need i say more? Dare i say that i think this dude is oddly sexy? mmhmm. lol. But we chatted for a bit about Sherrybaby and he also signed my Devil's Rejects poster...good times.


Chris Sarandon is the man. He was the voice of Jack Skellington, he was in Fright Night (for real) and of course Child's Play. Also he was in The Princess Bride and Dog Day Afternoon and basically everything. This guy is really cool though, very sarcastic and funny which is always welcome in my book.


YESSSSSSSS! I met the mom from 7th Heaven....life is complete. What a crazy lady she is too! But really really nice, and a great talker. I had fun standing and talking to her for a while about her career and her husband, and her husband's career lol. And also about artists in general and what its like to be with one....lol it was strange how many topics we covered in such a small amount of time, but that's the kind of lady she is! a bit off her rocker, but ultimately entertaining. Jackie and I were so excited about meeting her we could hardly contain ourselves.

So, that was that. It was good times.

One of my big school days was today and im semi-panicked about it. My first class was my creative writing course and within 5 minutes of the class the teacher is like "i want you to write a 4-10 page story by thursday, double spaced, and i want you to print out 30 copies of it so that each of your classmates can have a copy"....my reaction?

So now im desperately trying to come up with a good story idea thats captivating and that i can work for 4-10 pages....

It was a really awesome weekend in general. On friday we (as in myself and john, of course) went all the way to Sonic with Jackie and Sean for a mini road trip and some good food. It was good times all around. After that we went over to Aaron's house even though it was really late to say goodbye to Zoe before she left for college in [lazy] Scranton PA. Saturday was Monster Mania (which i will try to post pictures from in a little bit), after which John and I went to Gerard's house for this really adorable dinner party that he set up, the food was really tasty! And, dare i say it, i may have drank a few glasses of wine lol. I'm classy like that. Sunday i slept pretty late. Then Johnny and i went to Costco and the mall for lunch and whatnot. After that we made our way to Dirty Jersey to meet up with Carrie and Joe and Ajit to go see Uh Huh Her LIVE at The Mercury Lounge! We got stuck in a shitload of traffic and got there right when they were going on..i ran inside because they were playing my favorite song but then carrie, joe, and ajit couldn't get it.....that really sucked and i felt awful about it. But their set was really short, they only played like 5 songs.....5 awesome songs....lol i love them...AND I met Leisha Hailey and i spoke to her and i gave her a VLC CD and she was really nice and awesome and she knows i exist....i should have asked for a picture with her though :( After the show we went to this mexican place down the block (cause we really love our mexican food) and just hung out. Then we went back to Joe's and hung out for a little bit. Today i had work at 8am-1pm which was boring as hell...Today was (and still is) my first day of school! So far i've gone to one class, my Geography of the US class. My teacher is 28 years old and has a myspace and he wore skinny jeans lol. but he seems pretty cool, and very intelligent. Hopefully i'll do well in the class, though there looks to be a lot of writing in my future.... oh well. In a couple hours i have my Geology lecture and then i'm done for the day, tomorrow i have a full day of classes though! so, wish me luck?
